Combined DipHE (Ayurvedic Medicine) and MSc (Yoga Therapy)
In partnership with S-VYASA Yoga School in Bengaluru, students have the opportunity to complete a Master’s degree (MSc) in Yoga Therapy. As an aspiring Master’s student of the College, you will complete all the courses and modules as your fellow DipHE students, but also be tasked with extra modules, classes and assignments designed to stretch your knowledge of Ayurveda and Yoga during each year of the course.
The MSc in Yoga Therapy is designed to expand your therapeutic and practical abilities in Yoga, as well as dive deeper into the diversity of yoga philosophies, melding these ancient teachings with modern anatomy and physiology, and psychology.
In addition to extra classes and tutorials, you will also have the opportunity to travel to India during the second year of the course, undertaking a rigorous yet fulfilling four-week course to deepen your understanding and enhance your practical skills. You will also travel to India for six weeks during your fourth year, in order to consolidate your knowledge, practice in a real, clinical Ayurvedic setting and gain confidence as an Ayurvedic Practitioner and Yoga Therapist.
As with all Master’s degrees, you will be trained in research methods and undertake your own research for your Master’s thesis, forming part of a new generation of scholars bringing new thoughts, ideas and understandings to the practice of Yoga, with the potential to shape how it is viewed and practiced in the West.
The cost of the Combined DipHE and MSc is £5000 per year and includes the Yoga Instructors course in year 1
